Maximizing the expansive views of agricultural fields was the key focus when designing this 7,000 SF flat-roof contemporary home which sits on a corner lot with three view exposures in Watermill, NY. The transparency of the house is appreciated from certain angles were privacy was not a concern. The house is approached through an entry courtyard that allows the visitor to admire the expansive living areas and fantastic views on the opposite side. The house has an open layout in which the flow between spaces is unobstructed but at the same time is visually separated by changes in materiality, ceiling design and screens all in white and light wood tones.
