Sag Harbor Charming Cottage

Sag Harbor Charming Cottage

RRL Design and Architecture was commissioned to transform a 1960's ranch house into a charming cottage paying homage to the historic heritage of Sag Harbor Village. It may have been easier to just start from the ground up, but given the grandfathered footprint of the existing home, it was decided that it would be best to transform rather than demolish. Window design was reconfigured, a shed dormer was added to the street front and a 2-story wing was added on the back side along with some large steel windows. The layout was completely rearranged to meet today's needs. The result is a charming little house filled with intimate spaces and lots of light.
