Dubai Creek Landings
A team of architects, urban designers and landscape architects produced a design concept for the pedestrian bridge landings of the Dubai Creek Sixth Crossing. Inspired by the symbolism of the eagle in the local culture, the landings represent both an eagle’s nest and the marks of an eagle landing. Dubai Creek played a crucial role in the local economy before the oil era, and its importance is celebrated in the magnificence of its new crossings. Ricardo Romo-Leroux collaborated the project as a team member while working at W Architecture and Landscape Architecture in a collaboration with FXFowle.
